A to M’s Blog

Hooray for new residents!

There’s been a few comings and goings here at A to M towers, or at least the Four & Five studio. We were sad to lose the one man ragga revival that is Eoin MacManus as he heads off to take over the internet one sartorial blog post at a time. We were graced too briefly with the Brompton slinging code genius that is Jono Brain before he found himself his own home from home around the corner (it has skylights).

However, taking up the newest deskspace is ginger funnyman and The National’s All Time #1 Fan Adam Rix of Various Artists. Along with a much needed female touch, the talented illustrator Deanna Halsall. It’s coincided with a nice little rearrangement of the studio and a cleaner floor. Top-a-mop!

We’ve moved

A little overdue to mention, but we moved into new premises at the end of March. We’re now situated on Dale Street, a little closer to Piccadilly on the fifth floor, with oodles more light and a few new plants.

Full Address: Four&Five, 31 Dale Street, Manchester M1 1EY

Just a quick update too, as we’ve been a bit too busy to update the portfolio. We’re finishing off the last few bits for the Queer Up North festival. This year we were asked to update their identity as well as take care of their marketing material. We’re pretty excited to see the poster featuring the tongue-in-cheek green balloon appearing all over Manchester, superbly shot by Tom van Schelven. We also redesigned their new site, the build was taken care of by the great folks over at Glitterfish.

Elsewhere, logo and master label for the first release on Berlin’s freshly minted Just Another Beat. Finishing touches have just been applied to the forthcoming release from Finnish duo The Gentleman Losers. DVD packaging for the youth film project Spring Trinity run by Littlesar and MYVP. Identity for new restaurant Ostara and work on a project for Breakthrough Breast Cancer alongside the usual promo stuff for Night & Day, Dulcimer and the Faktion nights.
