A little update: our mixtape is available to check once more. The Mixtape Club celebrates it’s one year anniversary (happy birthday guys!) and as a result they’re offering the entire archive of mixes for the month of September. Trés bon, non?
That’s right. We’re seven. It’s seems hard to believe that we started the company with a little help from some friends at the end of the Summer way back in 2003. I was the tender age of 22 and working a couple of evenings in an Offy in Fallowfield at the time, Nick was teaching part-time, Andy was working part-time in a bar and Ben had just left the worst job in the world somewhere in a factory in Openshaw. Of course, these were propping up our fledgling freelance careers having all of us just moved to Manchester. We were naïve but ambitious. It seemed the only thing to do was start a company and do it our own way.
Fast forward to 2010 and A to M is now A to M Design Associates LLP with Ben & Mike the sole partners. This year we wound up our sister company A Rude Movement to concentrate fully on A to M. In the meantime Nick and Andy have gone on to pursue their successful careers with different companies. There’s a bit less hair in A to M now, and the waist sizes have gone up a couple of notches, but we can reflect on some pretty amazing times that got us to where we are now. We’ve had some great projects, worked with some brilliant people and we’re looking forward to more of the same.
